This data was collected for the\nNevada Division of State Parks Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan\n(SCORP). The Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) is a\nten-year plan that establishes priorities to address unmet needs for public\noutdoor recreation land throughout Nevada. The process was established in the\n1960s as a tool to guide the development and management of outdoor recreation\nresources in each state.<\/p>\n\n
States must update their SCORP\nevery ten years. The plan allows states, tribes, and local governments to apply\nfor and receive LWCF matching grant funding for the acquisition and development\nof public parks, trails, and other outdoor recreation sites. <\/p>\n\n
This layer represents\nrecreation boundaries across the state of Nevada. Data includes polygons of park boundaries managed for recreational use including wildlife refuges and county and city parks. Recreation assets are managed by\nstate, federal and local government agencies including city and county\nentities.
