With the Layer Manager  tool 
 on the Designer toolbar, you can configure layers in a scene such as layer style, properties, and options. 
To work with layers, complete the following steps:
- Verify that you are signed in to the portal and open Scene Viewer.
 - On the Designer toolbar, click Layer Manager   
 to open the Layer Manager pane.             - Configure the layers in the scene.
 - Click Save  
 to save the changes to the layers. 
You can  configure the layers with the Layer Manager  tool 
 using the following layer elements:

Layer style  | Style and explore layers through smart mapping styles and discover themes and patterns in the data.  | 
Layer properties  | Depending on the layer type, change the layer properties in scenes, such as configure pop-ups, set visibility ranges, and define filters.  | 
Layer options  | Adjust the layer options such as layer order, visibility, and group layers.  | 
Configure ground  | Configure ground in a scene by changing elevation layers or how you display and interact with the ground.  | 
When you hover over a layer, you can set the visibility of the layer by turning the visibility toggle button on or off. Layers that are visible in the scene display
the Visible layer button 
, while hidden layers display the Hidden layer button
