Layers: Description: This data was collected for the Nevada Division of State Parks Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). The Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) is a ten-year plan that establishes priorities to address unmet needs for public outdoor recreation land throughout Nevada. The process was established in the 1960s as a tool to guide the development and management of outdoor recreation resources in each state. States must update their SCORP every ten years. The plan allows states, tribes, and local governments to apply for and receive LWCF matching grant funding for the acquisition and development of public parks, trails, and other outdoor recreation sites.  This data layer represents recreation assets across the state of Nevada. Data includes non-motorized paved and unpaved trails. Recreation assets are managed by state, federal and local government agencies including city and county entities. Data was aggregated via federal, state, county and municipal open geodata portals, Google Earth Satellite imagery, field verification and authoritative websites such as federal, state, county and city parks and recreation sites.
