Description: This dataset represents underground and aboveground storage tank locations through which notification of their existence was received by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP), Bureau of Corrective Actions. These storage tanks are typically used to store regulated or hazardous substances and may include petroleum dispensing facilities, storage of fuel for emergency power generators, substances used for building heating, etc. Note, presence of a storage tank does not mean a release has occurred at the location. Please review BCA's Corrective Action and LUST GIS datasets for known release locations.Much of the geographic location data was derived from geocoding street addresses and is not intended for survey use. Additionally, there may be additional locations that NDEP oversees or has knowledge of that are not shown in this feature layer.
