The State Engineer has additional authority in the administration of the water resources within a designated groundwater basin. These regions have been aggregated from the SE_GroundwaterBasins feature class based on the HydroRegionID which roughly followed the HUC 6 boundary. This feature class is used in the Groundwater Basins of Nevada Wall Map.This dataset is also used for the purpose of assigning designated beneficial uses and water quality standards by NDEP's Division of Water Quality Planning.
