<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><P><SPAN>This raster dataset was created from mosaiced water right maps for the Newlands Project area (Truckee Carson Irrigation District). In August 1981, the original mylar maps were created by hand drawing water right areas using color pencils. The colors on the map do not indicate different categories or types of water rights but were meant to help distinguish areas visually. They were drawn to a scale of 1" = 400'. The Division of Water Resources used the color water right maps to draw the original water right contracts for the Newlands Project. This raster dataset includes AutoCAD drawn maps in areas where the color map needed correction for water rights acreage. The AutoCAD maps were created by TCID in 1995 to 2004. The original mylar maps are available for review in the Carson City office at the Division of Water Resources. Scans of the individual maps are available in tif format internally at G:\TCID\Georeferenced_Maps\Color_Water_Right_Maps.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV> |
