This dataset identifies problems with water rights and/or mapping that need to be resolved prior to the approval of further transactions in the area.
Mapping issues may represent:
stacks - two sets of active water rights on top of each other
tabular – water right retirement that was approved without a map
rendering – water right transfers that happened out of order
short – water right changes that exceed the water that is available; not enough water available in the PLSS quarter-quarter.
missing data – lack of documentation to support water right change.
Representation:
Permit_primary – Permit that identified the mapping issue.
Permits_affected – Related permits that may contribute to the mapping issue.
Date of Creation – 2015
This dataset is updated whenever there is a change to a water right within the Newlands Mapping Project that happens within the area of concern. This dataset is also proactively managed to resolve issues. |
